Terms of Sale

One of one. Nothing in the archive is restocked. When a piece sells, its checkout closes and the page keeps the record with a Sold mark. If two people ever manage to pay for the same garment in the same minute, the first completed checkout takes it and the second is refunded in full that day — and you will hear it from us rather than have to notice it yourself.

Paying. Checkout is handled by Stripe on their own hosted page. Your card number goes to Stripe, never to us; we see your name, what you bought and where to send it. Prices are in US dollars, and shipping is a flat $8 per piece, shown before you pay.

Shipping. Pieces go out tracked within 3 business days of your order, and the tracking number follows by email. If something will take longer — we are a small team, and occasionally a person is away — you will hear that from us before you have to ask.

Returns. If a piece is not what you expected, write to us within 14 days of it arriving and send it back in the condition it reached you. We refund the full price once it arrives. Return postage is ours when the fault is ours — misdescribed, mismeasured, damaged in transit — and yours when the piece is as described but simply not for you.

Condition, honestly. Everything here is secondhand and most of it is decades old. Photographs are of the actual piece, never a stock image, and the measurements in each listing are taken flat by hand. Buy on those measurements rather than the size on the label — period sizing is not modern sizing. Ordinary wear consistent with age is expected; anything past that is described and shown.

If we get something wrong. A mistyped price, or a piece that somehow sells twice, is our error and not your problem: we cancel, refund in full, and tell you why.
