When pieces surface that belong under this file, they are photographed, catalogued and listed in the shop.

Crested sweaters ruled Ryder Cup dressing with an iron fist through the seventies and into the early eighties — a crew or V-neck, a chest crest, a year embroidered underneath, and very little else. The 1981 baby-blue run is the high-water mark of the template.

By 1991 the tone had changed. Kiawah Island — "the War on the Shore" — was the most openly hostile week the match has produced, and the clothing turned with it: block stripes, heavier team shells, visors.

This file is the crest-and-stripe reference: the template we buy against whenever team-issue knitwear surfaces. It anchors the sourcing list for a future Ryder Cup drop.
