The history
Walker Cup & the collegiate circuit
1971 — 1993
Amateur golf dresses differently. There are no sponsors on the chest, so the crest does all the work — a university shield, a national badge, a year and nothing more.
This drop pulls from the Walker Cup and the American collegiate circuit between 1971 and 1993: heavyweight cotton rugbies with rubber buttons, tipped lambswool cardigans, and the sort of navy V-neck that has been worn under a blazer for a century.
This file feeds the sourcing list: crested rugbies, tipped cardigans and blazer-weight knits are what we hunt for under it. When enough of the wardrobe is assembled, it becomes a drop.
